Shamrock Charities Scholarship Program
Shamrock Charities was formed by amateur soccer players who desired to give back to their local and global communities. Our purpose is to support seriously ill and underprivileged children. Our goal is to improve children’s lives. We host a variety of events each year to raise money to support our worldwide goal of helping needy children have a better life.
Shamrock Charities encourages outstanding and spirited young people with diverse socio-economic backgrounds to make a positive impact on their communities and it honors them through its annual Scholarship Fund.
The Charity’s scholarship funds are awarded in order to further the educational needs of the winner. We are looking for individuals who have given back to their communities through volunteering with a special emphasis on children or children’s charities. Applicants must submit an essay explaining how their volunteer activities have benefited, and will continue to benefit, the lives of children. The annual scholarship will be awarded to the applicant whose essay best meets the criteria described below.
Shamrock Charities has long been involved with the sport of soccer as players, coaches, parents, and fans. Additional consideration will be given to applicants who are, or have been, involved with soccer.
