Shamrock Charities Scholarship Program

Shamrock Charities was formed by amateur soccer players who inspire to give back to our global community. Our purpose is to support seriously ill and underprivileged children. Our goal is to improve children’s lives. We host a variety of events to raise money to foster our worldwide goal for helping needy children have a better life.

Scholarship Program

Shamrock Charities celebrates inspiring, spirited young people with diverse backgrounds and our Scholarship Fund annually honors outstanding young people who make a positive impact on their communities.

The scholarship funds will be awarded in order to further the educational needs of the winner. We are looking for individuals who have given back to their communities through volunteering, with an emphasis on children’s charities. Applicants must submit an essay explaining how their volunteer activities have benefited, and will continue to benefit, the lives of children. The annual scholarship will be awarded to the applicant whose essay best meets the criteria described below.

Shamrock Charities has long been involved with the sport of soccer as players, coaches, parents, and fans. Additional consideration will be given to applicants who are or have been involved with soccer.

Description of Scholarship Funds

Shamrock Charities will award the winning applicant a $2,500 educational scholarship. Payments will be paid directly to the college, university, or trade organization by Shamrock Charities, LLC. Shamrock Charities retains the right to make alternate payment arrangements to prevent conflicts with other scholarships.

Eligibility:

The following must be met:

·        To apply for the scholarship, applicant must be a high school senior, and:

o   Currently applying to an accredited college, university, or trade school.

o   Describe their volunteering history, past and/or current.

o   Documentation supporting the volunteering experience must be provided prior to scholarship final award.

·        The winning applicant will allow Shamrock Charities to post their name, photo and award information on our website.

·        Winning applicant may be asked to attend Shamrock charity events and share their experiences.

Essay Prompts: 

·        Explain why you are passionate toward supporting children charities.

·        How has your previous experiences made a difference in the lives of children?

·        Describe how you plan to continue to support services to aid children.

·        Provide soccer involvement and experiences, if any.

Selection and Announcement of Winners

Winners will be selected by the Shamrock Charities, LLC scholarship team.

The application process is open to accept applications.

The application deadline is 5 PM PST April 30, 2021.

Winners will be notified before May 31, 2021.

Applicants are judged on quality and thoughtfulness of the essay, experience with volunteering and soccer background. All decisions of the Shamrock Charities scholarship team will be final.
