Volunteer of the Year

Shamrock Charities   "VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR"

Shamrock Charities honors an individual every year with our highest award.

  Volunteer: A person who gives service, time willingly and is committed to the causes of Shamrock Charities; who receives no compensation.

  Criteria: Any individual who contributes to the Shamrock Charities community through volunteer service may be nominated. These awards are designed for volunteers who have a history of unselfish, unrecognized service, as well as those volunteers who may be more visable. The nominee's volunteer activity can be in a structed or unstructed setting, but must be performed with no compensation.

   Selection: Shamrock Charities Selection Committee is composed of the Executive Director and previous winners of the this award. Nomination's can be mailed or emailed to the committee.  Committee members read over every nomination  individually then meet together as a group to discuss and decide on recipient. All decisions of the Selection Committee are final. In addition to the standards mentioned above, committee members use the following criteria to evaluate each nomination.

  • Scope of responsibility
  • Scope of impact
  • Accomplishments and/or contributions
  • Demonstartion of character
