Red Rhino Mission Statement

The Red Rhino Orphanage Project’s mission is to house and educate some of the most desperate and unfortunate children in Kenya, enabling them to become contributing members of society and leaders of the next generation.

The Red Rhino Orphanage Project is committed to providing the children it serves with:

• A sanctuary from the immediate and pressing dangers of life the orphans face
• Housing, food, and medical needs in a loving, structured environment on a long term, permanent basis
• Education, from elementary, through secondary school and university or trade school, and a smooth transition into Kenyan business and social life

• Red Rhino Orphanage Project

Red Rhino Orphanage Project (RROP) offers a unique opportunity built on four overarching principles. First and foremost, RROP seeks to create a safe, encouraging, and healthy space for street children in Kenya. Second, the children’s home was not to be an isolated refuge, but it would partner with and make a difference to the surrounding community. Third, the founders were determined to be conscious of the environmental inpact of the project. Fourth, the children’s home was designed to become self-sufficient, with the exception of education costs, within three years so that it would not be a drain on resources. These four principles are wrapped into every child the RROP seeks to help, every stage of development, every donated dollar.

Serving the Children

RROP is building an orphanage that is committed to providing these children with a safe place to live. The children will be put through primary and secondary school, then depending on their desires, either trade school or university. RROP staff will live on the property, giving these children the necessary guidance and love. RROP will serve rescued children, children at risk, and local orphans.
